Developing a Stage Presence as part of your Leadership Journey

Creative thinking and performance skills aren’t our usual gig at NZIM, yet are incredibly useful capabilities that can enhance and improve day to day leadership performance. For our friends at The Court Theatre in Christchurch, confident performance is second nature and we are delighted to see them offering Adult Acting workshops in Stage Presence, teaching the art of stage presence – whether on a performance stage, in the workplace or as part of your day to day life.

Term 1 classes have commenced every Tuesday evening under the expert guidance of Alys Hill, a director, performer, deviser and passionate ensemble theatre maker, well versed in physical theatre and performing arts.

“What I love the most about teaching this course is seeing people ground themselves and be fully present in the moment. There’s nothing more satisfying that being burningly present, free of thoughts and completely in your body responding to each other creatively. Having a space where people bring their life experience and creative impulses to the stage to create moments of resonance… it’s an honour to be a part of that.”

This is an incredible opportunity to tap into your creative brain and challenge your leadership journey in a unique and fun way. Email education@courttheatre.org.nz (mailto:education@courttheatre.org.nz) to register your interest, after all, all the world’s a stage!
